A friend sent this to me at Christmas, knowing I d like it. I d never read
either author before and am now hooked on the Kurtz style that holds to the
ideal that God has granted magic to a select few to fight against evil in our
world. Whether you want to believe that or not, it makes for a very good fantasy
read. I just wish I could find Book One in this series! There s also a light
spicing of the idea of reincarnation here [does anyone know which author
included that?].
LODGE OF THE LYNX is fun because it s different. It has a sword & sorcery flavor
with a modern age twist. Sir Adam Sinclair is a Psychiatrist in Scotland with
friends in high places [heaven itself]. He s gifted with powers from God that
aid in the battle against evil, in this case a possible connection with the
cultish heirs of Hitler and their constant hunger for power. The Lodge of the
Lynx has targeted the Masons as sacrificial bait to feed their god of thunder,
Taranis. It s up to Adam and his friends to stop them. But once Taranis comes
into his power even Adam wonders, How do you stop a god?
I like this storyline. Sir Adam has friends to back him up. They come to each
other s rescue when life gets just a little bit too dangerous, and they
celebrate Christmas together too. This is the kind of story to read when you re
lonely.
