CREATOR is a twist on Christianity. In CREATOR, the Olympian spirits send their
own Savior, but forgot to include an instruction manual, or saints to interpret
the signs. Daedalus Rufus changes the lives of many while he ponders his purpose
in life [for wayyyyy tooooo many pages]. Daedalus is an innocent who has the
power of godhood. How he uses this power is interestingly unusual.
The curious tale meanders through about 222,000 words with a Nineteenth-Century
descriptive style and in an attempt at wry humor that fell flat on this reader.
BUT! The descriptions are gorgeous; AND, I swear there was not one typo in the
entire book! So, though I don’t recommend this read to action/adventure fans, I
do recommend the author for a copy-editing job, if he can learn the fact that
modern readers--as a general rule--don’t have patience for a story that plods
through the head of a character in Telling narrative. Though the author does
have a wonderful wry sense of humor, I got bored with the slow progression of
his story.
