Fantasy-romance with a Djinn twist. Written in first person, the Weather Warden books read fast and furious. In a word: fun.

Joanne Baldwin drives hot cars, wears hot clothes, and attracts not only unobtainably hot men but also the most dangerous weather on the planet. There's a storm out there with her name on it that chases her from Florida to Connecticut to Oklahoma. But that's only an annoying fly compared to her other problems. Her boss and his Djinn hold her down and put a demon in her, so it's a race against the clock. Joanne has got to get to her friend Lewis before the demon takes over. Lewis is the most powerful of the Wardens--he has Earth, Wind, and Fire. And three Djinn. Maybe he will give Joanne one of his Djinn and Joanne can force the demon into it so the demon will eat on the Djinn's soul for eternity instead of hers. That's the plan, anyway.

There are several complications. No one knows where Lewis is at present. The other Wardens are trying to stop Joanne from finding him--permanently. That damn storm is becoming more than a nuisance. And Joanne finds herself falling in love with a hitchhiker she picks up along the way. But all of that is just the easy part. Once she gets to Lewis in Oklahoma the game gets seriously complicated and very deadly.

ILL WIND does have flashbacks but they are worked in well enough as to not be cumbersome. It is highly recommended for action/adventure fans who love magic, bad weather, and passionate relationships.
