DEVLIN'S JUSTICE

For readers of Ms. Bray's SWORD OF CHANGE books, this is the third.  See the reviews of DEVLIN'S LUCK and DEVLIN'S HONOR to get an idea of the storyline thus far.

Unlike the first two books, DEVLIN'S JUSTICE is not a quest. Our Jorskian Chosen One is betrayed by his king and kidnapped by his enemies. It is a painful time for Devlin, both physically and emotionally. And back in Kingsholm, Devlin's friends believe him dead. The rescue attempt that does come, does not come soon enough. By that time, Jorsk has been overrun with enemies. Devlin faces a war without troops to aid him, and a terrifying black magic that sears his soul.

I like Bray's work for the action, characterization, and story-telling. This is a good sword & sorcery tale and worth the read.
